Middletown police reports: Blowers stolen while landscapers working

April 17

While a family was moving out of a residence in the 6900 block of Mount Vernon Street, someone entered their unsecured residence and stole a Playstation, Nintendo DS, camera, two cell phones and some toys.

Two flat screen TVs, valued at $700, were stolen from a residence in the 3900 block of Central Avenue.

While two landscapers for US Lawns were working in the back of Target, 6775 Roosevelt Parkway, someone stole two Eco backpack lawn blowers, valued at $1,200, off their truck. They said they left the blowers in the truck for about 10 minutes. Police were checking the store’s surveillance camera.

Calhoun Datreal, 20, of Wildwood Road, was charged with drug abuse after police found marijuana in his pocket while he was standing outside Miller’s Lounge, 124 Charles St.

Numerous items were stolen from a residence in the 3000 block of Finley Street. The stolen items: Hewlett Packard computer, 42-inch TV, DVDs, electric razor, silver dollars, Green Bay Packers coat, two speakers, Craftsman snow blower, car battery and truck battery. The total value was near $4,000.

Weapons, cash, coins, and prescription medication were stolen from a residence in the 2300 block of Yankee Road while the owner was fishing. He said someone kicked in a back door, then kicked in his locked bedroom door.

When a Monroe man called Duke Energy to set up his electricity, he was told he owed $709 from a previous account. He said he never had an account with Duke.

An air conditioner was stolen from the front of a residence in the 1000 block of Elwood Street.

Cooper was stolen and drywall was damaged in a residence in the 2000 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

Several pieces of electronics and prescription medication were stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Baltimore Street after someone broke into the front door.

A Middletown man, Marcus Quinn, 35, of Villa Court, was charged with drug abuse/marijuana after he was caught smoking outside Miller’s Lounge, 124 Charles St. Police told the bar’s owner, William Miller, this was the second time in two days that they caught someone smoking marijuana outside his business.

April 19

A weed eater, push lawn mower and three extension cords were stolen out of a garage in the 700 block of Crawford Street.

When a man, suspected of stealing three packs of underwear, valued at $21, from Dollar General, 671 N. University Blvd., was told to stop by the assistant manager, he ran out of the store.

A HP laptop computer, valued at $500, was stolen from a residence in the 4400 block of Tarrimore Circle.

A man who lives in the 200 block of Bavarian Street told police that he put $3,850 in cash in his drawer, and after spending some time in Barnitz Park, he returned to his unlocked apartment and the money was gone. The thieves left a laptop and other electronics in the room and only the money was missing.

Two air conditioners were stolen from a duplex property in the 1600 block of Flemming Road.

April 20

Numerous items were reported stolen from a residence in the 2800 block of Moorman Place. The woman told police that someone stole a Wii, valued at $500, iPhone IV, valued at $500, and Nike Jordan sandals, valued at $40.

April 21

Two females walked into UDF, 101 N. Verity Parkway, and stole four 24-ounce beers and a Mountain Dew. They were caught stealing on the store’s surveillance camera and police are searching for the two suspects.
