The men were seen standing next to a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of the Wendy’s and that Dayton police later discovered was stolen from the Acorn address.
The stolen vehicle was recovered after restaurant personnel contacted Dayton police about the vehicle, which had been sitting in the restaurant parking lot for a couple of days, Baldridge said.
Oakwood police believe the stolen vehicle was used to transport the items that had been stolen from the Acorn address.
Police believe someone entered the Acorn house after “scaling a locked fence” while the occupants of the home were away. Several items were taken from the house, including a big-screen TV, a safe, jewelry and computer equipment. The items were placed inside a vehicle that was parked in the house’s garage, and the vehicle was stolen.
Anyone with information about the identities of the two men captured in the surveillance footage or about the break-in on Acorn, should contact Oakwood police at (937) 298-2122.
