A 6-year-old girl was rushed to Dayton Children’s Hospital after she was attacked by a pit bull Sunday afternoon.
She required seven stitches.
Her father, Mark Brewer, said his daughter was playing outside with friends in the 900 block of Manhattan Avenue in Dayton when the pit bull ran into the street and bit her on her thigh.
“Her friends try to pull her on top of a car so the dog couldn’t reach her,” said Brewer. “But she couldn’t get away.”
The owner of the dog, Curtis Jones, was arrested and charged with control of animal, according to a police report.
