It is unclear whether the victim was shot, but she was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said.
After investigating, police said they found that three people had kicked open the front door of the house, and one of the three assaulted the victim.
She told police that the suspects had then run out the back door of the house, according to the release.
A Butler Township Police K9 unit was called to the scene and tracked the suspects to the east behind the houses, but police do not say if anyone was found.
This incident remains under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
