In scanner traffic, police said that officers initially tried to arrest the suspect on a traffic violation.
However, Clearcreek officers told OSHP dispatchers that as officers tried to get the suspect out of the car, he drove off, swerving toward officers.
From there, the pursuit followed the suspect on a long route through Beavercreek, then up into Riverside, down into Dayton, and then retracing his route back to Beavercreek before finally coming to a stop in a residential neighborhood off of Kemp and Grange Hall roads.
In scanner traffic, state troopers described the suspect vehicle running red lights and driving at high speeds on highways and residential streets.
OSHP dispatchers confirmed that Beavercreek police were bringing a K9 unit to help find the suspect.
We are working to learn more and will update this story with any new information.
