Matthew Welty was charged with possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, according to Greenville police.
Union City police and a K9 were called to the scene on Ohio 571 because officers had received a tip that the vehicle was involved in drug trafficking.
After the K9 indicated that drugs were in the vehicle, officers searched it and found “numerous types of suspected narcotics” and paraphernalia, according to Greenville police.
Welty was taken into custody and is being held at the Darke County Jail.
Additional charges are pending.
