In a press release, the sheriff’s office said that at around 2:19 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the crash after a caller reported a vehicle hit the pole and caught on fire. The caller said the driver stumbled around before falling to the ground.
However, while crews were on the way to the scene, the driver was picked up by a person in a white vehicle and left the scene.
Emergency crews found the vehicle empty and engulfed in flames. Jefferson Township and Trotwood fire crews put out the fire.
Further investigation found that the vehicle was reported stolen. However, officers determined that the owner had actually been the driver and was intoxicated when she crashed.

Police said that she had no visible injuries but was taken to a local hospital for examination.
This crash remains under investigation.
