UPDATE @ 11:35 p.m. (Sept. 15): The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is asking you for help in identifying a suspect in the theft of several rings from the Cashland, 980 Miamisburg Centerville Road, on Monday.

Sheriff’s investigators said the man seen in a photo that accompanies this report came into the business and appeared to be shopping for an engagement ring. When an employee turned her back, the man grabbed a display that contained several rings and ran to a waiting vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a two-door coupe.

FIRST REPORT (Sept. 14)

Deputies were called to the Cashland at 980 Miamisburg-Centerville Road on a theft this afternoon.

A worker at the business reported to dispatchers around 1:30 p.m. that someone stole jewelry out of their hand and left the business, according to dispatch records.

No other information was immediately available, but this story will be updated as new details are released.
