Springfield police have three people in custody in connection with the smashing of vehicle windows.

They include an adult female and two male juveniles.

Police have taken many reports about windows of vehicles being smashed and shot out with a BB gun, according to police reports.

A van window was shot out with a BB gun on East Southern Avenue in Springfield late Friday to early Saturday.

Officers began their investigation Sunday morning after about 20 vehicles were reported damaged. Police took more reports Monday morning.
