Stolen candy machines recovered in Dayton

Police this morning recovered two empty candy machines that were taken earlier this month from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, 3970 Salem Ave., Trotwood.

A passerby noticed the vending machines lying in some bushes in the 1800 block of Kipling Drive and reported it to police, according to the Dayton officer on scene.

No candy was left in the machines, which are believed to have been taken June 11 from the auto parts store.

Trotwood officers were called to recover the machines as evidence in their invesitgation.
