Suspects sought in double shooting

HAMILTON — Police are searching for suspects in the Friday night shooting of two Fairfield residents near the Grub Pub at 47 Hancock Ave.

Khaleim Waver, 26, and Danyel Stiehl, 21, both of Fairfield, were transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday after being shot around 10:45 p.m.

According to police reports, the victims were walking into the bar when an unknown person shot them multiple times.

According to reports, Waver had multiple gunshot wounds to his right side. He was transported to University Hospital in Cincinnati after initially being taken to Fort Hamilton. Both victims have been released, hospital officials said Monday.

Shirley Horsley, co-owner of Grub Pub, said officers questioned everyone inside the establishment and wouldn’t let anyone leave or enter for hours.

“Our cameras outside show a car pulled up into parking lot, a couple got out, another car pulled up and a guy got out and shot at them,” Horsley said.
