Task force raids ‘elaborate marijuana grow op’

UPDATE @ 8:30 p.m.

Deputies raided an “elaborate marijuana grow operation” this afternoon at a Farmington Road house.

More than 100 marijuana plants; a large amount of processed pot; several thousand dollars in cash; 12 shotguns and one handgun; and miscellaneous cultivating equipment were seized from the house in the 6800 block of Farmington Road, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Regional Agencies Narcotics & Gun Enforcement task force.

The search warrant followed a monthlong investigation into a marijuana cultivation operation, the release stated.

One woman was at the home during the raid, but charges will be reviewed by the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

The incident remains under investigation.

UPDATE @ 2:57 p.m.

The suspected marijuana grow operation was dismantled by the Montgomery County RANGE Task Force.

Plants were pulled out of an outbuilding behind the house. Other items that were hauled out included large grow lights and guns.

No arrests have been made, according to an officer at the scene.

FIRST REPORT

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is on scene of what appears to be a raid in the 6000 block of Farmington Road near Miamisburg.

Multiple sheriff’s cruisers were observed at a house there around 1:15 p.m.
