Threats call leads to drug search in Huber Heights

Police responding to a threats complaint this afternoon detected a marijuana smell, which led officers to conduct a search.

Officers were dispatched around 3:20 p.m. to residence in the 5300 block of Seaman Drive. While handling a threats complaint, officers smelled an odor believed to be marijuana coming from the home, according to Huber Heights police. Police obtained a search warrant and were able to enter the home. No further information was released about the identity of the person arrested, nor what police found inside the house.

One arrest has been made, police said. They are now awaiting a search warrant.

We’ve learned there is heavy police presence in a residential area in Huber Heights.

Penny Davis, a resident in the area, tells us about a half-dozen cruisers near the intersection of Rosebury and Seaman drives. She reports the officers are using a megaphone to urge occupants of a nearby house to come out.
