Man accused of shooting at Dayton officers indicted

UPDATE @ 3:43 p.m. (April 6):

The man accused of shooting at two Dayton police detectives last month has been indicted on multiple felonies.

Tahwin Herron Jr. was indicted on two counts of felonious assault and three weapons charges.

Herron is still in custody and is due in court on Tuesday for his arraignment.

UPDATE @ 4:19 p.m. (March 28):

Tahwin Herron Jr., accused of shooting at two Dayton police detectives earlier this month, has been arrested, police said.

INITIAL REPORT:

Dayton Police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection to shooting at two Dayton Police detectives.

On March 19, in the 300 block of Bungalow Dr. in Dayton, police said Tahwin Herron Jr. shot at them.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest on two counts of felony assault and weapons charges.

Herron Jr. is 5’7” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
