An arrest warrant was issued Friday for a man accused of cloning credit cards.

Demetrius Hicks, 27, of Washington Twp., was indicted on 22 counts of counterfeiting by a Montgomery County grand jury.

Dayton police investigated the case in which Hicks allegedly was found to be in possession of gift cards that had the magnetic strip programmed with stolen credit card numbers, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.

The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred Jan. 31 and March 15, according to the indictment.

Hicks is scheduled to be arraigned May 9, or sooner once he is in custody.
