Watch: Police release video from armed robbery

Police released video today from one of four armed robberies they believe may be linked to one suspect.

In the video, the suspect can be seen with his face covered. Sidney police Capt. Jerry Tangeman said he enters a business, puts a knife to the clerk, and threatens to do harm if the clerk does not turn over the money.

The robberies happened in a span of eight days in Sidney and Piqua at:

  • 10:49 p.m. July 22 at the Checkered Flag Drive Thru, 1151 Wapakoneta Ave., Sidney
  • 9:15 p.m. July 27 at the Oasis Drive Thru, 1222 Michigan St., Sidney
  • 10:39 p.m. July 27, parking lot of Sidney Food Town, 1010 Wapakoneta Ave., Sidney
  • 10:38 p.m. July 29, Spring Thru Drive Thru, 225 Spring St., Piqua.

In all four incidents, the robber entered and fled the business area on foot. A similar type of knife and threat was used in three of the four robberies. In the Piqua incident, the suspect was seen getting into, a white minivan, according to police.
