Woman admitted stabbing man in 911 call

Caller tells dispatcher, “I’ve been beat up too many times.”

HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County — A 56-year-old woman, who was found covered in blood after a man was stabbed, admitted the crime to a police dispatcher, according to two 911 recordings of the incident.

But Lynnette Holland, who placed the 911 calls, told the dispatcher said stabbed the man, “because he kept punching me in my head, so I stuck him.”

The recordings were released Monday, Sept. 6. The incident occurred 2:38 a.m. Saturday.

Holland, of 4240 Briar Place, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail shortly after her arrest. She was being held Monday on suspicion of felonious assault and tampering with evidence. Her bond was set at $250,000.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the address on a report of an assault and found Holland in the parking lot with “a large amount of blood on her,” deputies said.

Deputies entered the apartment and found an unconscious 50-year-old man, whose name has not been released. He had been stabbed several times.

He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said. His condition has not been released.

According to the recording, Holland said, “he’s bleeding from the gut. You’ve got to get an ambulance here.”

Police dispatcher: “Why is he bleeding?”

Caller: “Because he kept punching me in my head, so I stuck him.”

Dispatcher: “You stabbed him?”

Caller: “Yes ma’am.”

Dispatcher: “Okay.”

Caller: “I need a paramedic her for real. I been beat up too many times.”

On the second 911 call from a neighbor’s apartment, Holland told the dispatcher her male friend, whom she called an “associate” and not her boyfriend, refused to leave.

She said he had been drinking beer and had attacked her by hitting her in the head.
