Woman arrested for child endangering

A Champaign County woman was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail Monday on charges of domestic violence, assault and child endangering.

Donna Adams of Urbana was seen hitting her 8-year-old son several times while they were in German Twp. in Clark County, according to a court document. She then stopped her car on Upper Valley Pike, made the boy get out and drove away, witnesses told police, according to the court document.

Adams told officers that her son has behavior problems and he yelled at her, so she was disciplining him, according to police. She drove around the corner after telling her son to get out of the car because she wanted to teach him a lesson, Adams told police.

She faces six months in jail or a $1,000 fine if she’s found guilty.
