Woman hears gunshots, finds bullet hole in wall

A Dayton woman called police Saturday night after she heard gunshots and found a bullet hole in an interior wall of her home.

Police were called at 9:30 a.m. about suspicious circumstances in the 3100 block of Tubman Avenue, according to the Dayton police report.

The victim, a 39-year-old woman, told officers she heard approximately six gunshots and thought her house was struck, according to the report.

Police found a 2-inch hole in the wall by her stairwell and an intact bullet lying next to it on the floor, according to the report.

Police said the victim had no idea why anyone would target her home.
