Timothy Truesdale, 40, was found dead and partially wrapped in a shower curtain in a shared apartment with Brooks, according to the prosecutor’s office.
An autopsy later determined he died from a gunshot wound.
The person who called 911 told the dispatcher that the woman who shot Truesdale was reportedly in fear for her life.
The caller said they just learned about the shooting from a friend and told police it happened about a week before her call.
