Woman stabbed; man jailed on $250,000 bond

FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield man is behind bars after a woman with multiple stab wounds was flown to an area hospital early Thursday morning.

Robin A. Chester Jr., 25, of 3607 Woodridge Blvd., Apt. 3, appeared in Thursday afternoon in Fairfield Municipal Court after he was arrested on felonious assault and domestic violence charges.

A 33-year-old woman, whose name was not released, was flown by medical helicopter just after 5 a.m. to University Hospital in Cincinnati. She suffered multiple stab wounds, but her condition was not known, according to Fairfield police.

Police said Chester and the woman lived together at the Woodridge Glenn Apartments, but police did not reveal the relationship between the pair or what may have led to the stabbing incident.

According to court records, on Joyce Campbell set bond at $250,000 for Chester, who remains in the Butler County Jail.

The judge also set a 9 a.m. June 9 preliminary hearing. Fairfield attorney Jacob Long is representing Chester, court records show.
