Woman threatens to shoot teller, robs bank in Waynesville, police say

WAYNESVILLE — Police are searching for a woman who robbed the Main Street LCNB branch Wednesday, March 3, threatening to shoot a teller.

Sgt. Shane Wiseman said the woman entered the 9 N. Main St. bank at about 3:28 p.m., placed a small multi-colored bookbag with a drawstring top on the counter and handed the teller a note demanding money that indicated she would shoot the teller.

No weapon was displayed, and no other customers were inside the bank, Wiseman said.

The suspect is described as a white female between 20 and 30 years old with brown hair and eyes who stood about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and appeared to be missing some teeth. She was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, a brown knit hat with a small bill, and blue jogging pants with a white stripe.

She fled the bank with an undetermined amount of cash in an unknown direction.

Waynesville police are collaborating with the Warren County Sheriff's Office and the FBI. Anyone with information is asked to call Wiseman at (513) 897-8010 or sheriff’s Detective David Spadafore at (513) 695-1388.
