Donatos Pizza chairwoman to speak at West Chester-Liberty event honoring 3 business leaders

The West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance recently announced its three Everest Award honorees, who will be celebrated at 6 p.m. July 19 at Cincinnati Marriott North.

The Everest Award is presented to a person who has reached the heights of being a legend or leader through his or her actions, making a significant positive impact on business, the community and quality of life within the Interstate 75 Growth Corridor.

Honorees include Kemba Credit Union CEO Steve Behler, Danis Building Construction Company Chairman and CEO John Danis and Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital President and CEO Thomas Urban

Keynote speaker will be Jane Grote Abell, chairwoman of the board for Donatos Pizza, who was a major catalyst behind the decision to purchase Donatos back from McDonald’s.

Following the buyback, she led the company through a $10.5 million turnaround. In 2015, she released her first book “The Missing Piece: Doing Business the Donatos Way.”
