Lawrence R. Lee III, the final inmate who escaped from a Gallopolis jail, was arrested in Durham, North Carolina.
“I would like to thank the hard working law enforcement professionals who have tirelessly dedicated themselves to providing an end to the search for these escapees,” said Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin. “Additionally, I want to thank everyone who has shown support for my office and our law enforcement across this great nation.”

Three of the four Ohio inmates who escaped from a jail in Gallopolis are in custody, including a man who was spotted at a Pennsylvania mall Sunday.

“I am pleased to be able to report that Brynn K. Martin, Christopher M. Clemente and Troy R. McDaniel Jr. have been taken into custody in Cary, North Carolina, thanks to a multi-agency response to information provided by our investigative team,” the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook Monday morning.
The fourth escaped inmate, Lawrence R. Lee III, is believed to have been with the other men.
“Investigators have worked continuously throughout the day and night since the incident occurred to follow up on tips and develop information which has led to the captures,” said Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin. “I would like to say a special thanks to all of the agencies who have been instrumental in assisting us in this investigation.”
INITIAL REPORT:
The Westmoorland Mall in Greensburg, PA is on lockdown and has been evacuated due to the possible presence of an escaped inmate from a jail in Gallopolis, Ohio, according to a report from the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office.
A crew on the scene reported that a there was a heavy police presence at the mall. K-9 units and a helicopter were also present.

Local police advised residents to keep their doors locked and not to leave keys inside of vehicles.
Christopher Clemente, 30, along with three other men, escaped from jail early Sunday morning. The inmates should be considered dangerous.
Anyone who has information about Clemente or the other escaped inmates should call 911.
