8 Percent Of U.S. Children Have Food Allergies

Experts said that 8 percent of all U.S. children have food allergies, which is a number that is higher than previously thought.

A new study in the Journal Pediatrics found that most common allergies are from peanuts, milk and shellfish, and about 2 million children suffer from severe reactions.

African-American and Asian children are more likely to have food allergies compared to Caucasian children.
