Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield has scored a national shout-out as one of the top five grocery stores in America for beer lovers.
The recognition comes from RateBeer.com’s RateBeer Best Awards for 2016, which named Jungle Jim’s as both one of the top five grocery stores in the country for beer and as the best grocery store in Ohio for beer.
Jungle Jim’s captured the same RateBeer “Best in Ohio” award last year, but this is appears to be the first year it has received the national award from the web site devoted to craft beer ratings and forums.
Two years ago, the same web site and awards program named Warped Wing Brewing Company in downtown Dayton as the “best new brewery in Ohio.”
The web site’s awards are announced in installments over the course of this week.
Jungle Jim’s celebrated its 40th business anniversary in 2015. Since its founding as a roadside produce stand, the 200,000-square-foot store has become a regional destination in Fairfield thanks to a wide selection and attention-grabbing decor. A second location was added in Clermont County in 2012.
