School officials posted an alert on social media about a “domestic situation NOT At OUR school but close to the school, our school is on a lock out! Students may be released late!”
Lisa Tuttle-Huff, superintendent of Madison Schools, said students were kept in the building on the district’s K-12 campus past the normal 2:37 p.m. class dismissal time.
A suspect harmed himself and fled from a scene earlier today in the 5900 block of Beverly Lane, officials said. Sheriff’s deputies searched for the suspect with a drone and a canine officer.
The lockdown ended and students were beginning to be released by about 3:10 p.m. today.
