Molly Wilson has been promoted to vice president for marketing and communications at the University of Dayton, the university announced Tuesday.
Wilson’s focus in the newly created position will be to build UD’s national reputation. She will report directly to UD President Eric Spina.
“I have found Ms. Wilson to possess all the qualities a university would want in a chief marketing officer: a strong work ethic, exceptional technical abilities, superb instincts, and a highly collaborative approach,” Spina said in a news release.
The move will allow enrollment management to focus on cutting-edge strategies for recruiting and retaining students, including developing new domestic and international markets, Spina said.
Jason Reinoehl, vice president for enrollment management and marketing, will become vice president for strategic enrollment management.
Wilson came to UD in 2002. She currently oversees marketing, communications, the Media Production Group and media relations.
Wilson is a graduate of Butler University and earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from UD in 2008.
“It’s an honor to help tell the stories of the inspiring people, programs and research that are making a profound impact on our society,” Wilson said.

UD honored
The International Economic Development Council has honored the University of Dayton with a Silver Excellence in Economic Development Award for leadership in developing the Dayton Aerospace Hub.

Affordable schools
Central State University ranks fifth in the nation for providing the most affordable out-of-state tuition, according to U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News’ list of the 10 Least Expensive Colleges for Out-of-State Students for 2016-2017 considers an institution’s cost, academics and student population.
CSU officials have reduced out-of-state surcharge fees by 76 percent. For some new and returning students from select counties in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, the savings is effective fall 2017 when the existing surcharge waiver agreements expire.
