Springboro school board to discuss tax levy tonight

The Springboro Board of Education is scheduled to discuss a tax levy during tonight’s board meeting.

A discussion is scheduled during the work session portion of tonight’s regular board meeting.

Treasurer Terrah Floyd said the board would be discussing a renewal issue.

“We are early on this as it isn’t set to expire until December of 2018,” Floyd said.

Tonight’s discussion is to be a continuation of talks about the renewal at a retreat in January and a meeting in February that included a discussion with the community, Floyd added via email.

Voters approved a renewal in 2013 but defeated five straight issues for new operating money.
