The Warren County Board of Commissioners approved sale of six acres of the county fairgrounds to the city of Lebanon for $210,000.

The land is to be the future site of the city’s main fire station, with plans to also move the police station there in the future.

The money will not be used to offset costs on the event center proposed at the fairgrounds.

Commissioner Dave Young, who was absent from this morning’s meeting, had opposed this use of the funds. Instead, they will be used to offset general fund expenses, according to County Administrator Tiffany Zindel.
