A series of unrelated crashes temporarily tied up traffic on U.S. 35 westbound this afternoon at the intersection with Orchard Lane.
Ohio State Patrol Trooper Brad Huffman said three separate crashes occurred in the same area around 4 p.m.
A total of seven cars were involved: three in the first crash, and two each in the other collisions. No one involved required transport to the hospital.
Huffman said it did not appear that rubbernecking played a role, but that people were simply not paying enough attention.
He said three drivers will be cited for failure to maintain an assured safe distance.
Traffic was moving normally by 5 p.m.
