3 amazing new wedding venues in Dayton you HAVE to see

There have been a number of new wedding and event venues popping up in Dayton in the last year.

For a couple looking for their ideal venue, one of these new spots may fit the bill.

The Steam Plant

The Steam Plant, located at 617 E. 3rd St. in downtown Dayton, is a new event venue. The building used to house a DP&L steam generating plant which closed in the mid-1980s, hence the name. PHOTO / TOM GILLIAM Tom Gilliam

The former power generating plant is newly renovated and versatile for any size group or occasion. The interior is an open floor plan with iconic arched windows, 30-foot high ceilings, exposed beams and brick and hand-crafted two-story built-in bar.

This thirty-acre farm, previously known as Bull Run Farm, was the location of the area’s best known haunted hayride. It is located on the edge of Springboro and Lebanon and features a long driveway which passes a large pond, a gazebo, several original barns, open fields, a winding creek, and more.

Brightside Music and Event Venue

Carli and Hamilton Dixon are renovating their property at 905 E. Third St. for The Brightside Music and Event Venue. The space is in the same building as their Bloombeads by freezeframe. Hamilton Dixon is pictured.

The venue space is a spacious room without pillars or beams to obstruct view. There are also roll-up garage doors for easy load-in load-out as well as a catering space. This space boasts 30' high ceilings, exposed brick, and windows for natural sunlight. The space is currently under renovation with plans to open this summer.
