An American flag honoring a fallen soldier went missing, and his family says it was stolen.

Army Specialist Jesse Snow, 25, was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.

His family recently hung a flag on his memorial sign to welcome motorcyclists to the area for a ride in Snow’s honor, but less than three weeks later that flag has disappeared.

“It was up and then it disappeared,” John Snow, Jesse’s dad, said.

John Snow even contacted Fairborn police, but no one has seen the flag or knows what happened to it.

“It just bothers me that people would stoop that low to steal an American flag from a deceased soldier,” he said.

The Snow family also recently discovered a new American flag was hung on their son’s sign.

“Whoever put that up, I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart. Although there are bad people who stole it, there are good people who replaced it,” John Snow said.
