3 arrested for OVI, 1 for drug possession during OVI checkpoint in Tipp City

Three OVI arrests were made during  saturation patrols in connection to an OVI checkpoint in Tipp City Friday night.

556 cars were stopped during the checkpoint, with one person being placed under arrest for drug possession, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol release.

Tipp City police and the Miami County sheriff’s office assisted troopers at the checkpoint set up on Ohio 571 between County Road 25A and Weller Drive between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

According to the release, 35 cars were stopped during saturation patrols in the area around the checkpoint with three impaired drivers arrested.
