The Beavercreek Police Department has purchased a motorcycle to better patrol areas that are too difficult for cruisers to get to.

The new Harley Davidson motorcycle will be used primarily to catch speeding drivers.

“What he can do on that motorcycle ... is pretty impressive. Operate that vehicle in tight circles that traditional vehicles can’t,” said Beavercreek police Capt. Scott Molnar.

Patrols also will take place in school zones.

Beavercreek police said there are plans to add more motorcycles.
