Beer bar chain plans local location

A pub, tap room and retail seller of craft beers is looking to expand its southwest Ohio presence with a new location in Mason.

The Casual Pint applied for a liquor license this week for 6360 Tylersville Road, which is in Mason, slightly less than two miles east of the border between Butler and Warren counties.

The beer business opened its first southwest Ohio locations in Loveland earlier this year. Casual Pint CEO Nathan Robinette said at the time that he was interested in exploring new locations in the region.

The first Casual Pint Market opened in Knoxville in 2011. In 2013, The Casual Pint began franchising, and its first six franchise locations opened in 2014, all in Tennessee.

The Loveland location was the 10th overall for the company, and the first outside Tennessee. Since then another location has opened in the Cincinnati community of Oakley.
