National Night Out Aug.1

On Aug. 1, from 5-8 p.m. at Stebbins High School, 1900 Harshman Road the City of Riverside will participate in National Night Out 2017. Come and meet the men and women of the Riverside Police and Fire Department at this free kid friendly event.

Movie Night Aug. 26

On Aug. 26 from 8-10 p.m. come out for movie night in Rohrer Park, 702 Rohrer Blvd. The movie Trolls will be showing. There will be free popcorn and bottled water. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket.

Community garage sale Aug. 4-6

Riverside will hold a community-wide yard sale Aug. 4-6. No permit will be required, but you must still follow the requirements of the city’s applicable ordinances. If you are participating, send an email to citymanager@riverside.oh.us or phone 937-233-1801. The city will publish a list of participants on their website at www.riverside.oh.us and on the City of Riverside Facebook page.

Storytime creatures July 26

On July 26 from 10-11 a.m. come out to Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark 1301 E. Siebenthaler Ave., Dayton for a story about creatures, accompanied by an adventure or activity in the park. This program is designed for toddlers and their care givers. This free activity is for children 2-6 years old and is weather dependent.

Dayton Celtic Festival July 28-30

On July 28-30 from 5:30-11 p.m. come out to RiverScape MetroPark, 237 E. Monument Ave. and discover the sights and sounds of Ireland, Scotland and Wales at Dayton’s original United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival. The festival features multiple stages of international, national and regional artists providing continuous live musical and dance entertainment with covered seating. There will also be Irish and Celtic culture, children’s activities, food, beverages, whiskey tastings, a craft beer garden, traditional Gaelic Mass, 5K and 10K races, Celtic breakfast, Gaelic sports and more. This free event will happen rain or shine.

Community picnic July 27-29

Brookville will be holding its 67th annual community picnic July 27-29 in Golden Gate Park, 545 Upper Lewisburg Salem Road. There will be food, rides, games and more.
