Sensory storytime set for Nov. 4

Sensory storytime will be held from 11 to noon Nov. 4 at Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road.

This is geared toward children with autism, sensory processing disorder, language delay or children with disabilities.

Parents, therapists and siblings are welcome.

Breakfast with Santa set for Dec. 2

Breakfast with Santa will be held from 9-10 a.m. Dec. 2 at Polen Farm, 5099 Bigger Road.

This event is geared toward children 12 months and older. After breakfast, children will have one-on-one time with Santa.

All participants, including parents and babies, must register. Space is limited and participants are encouraged to register early.

The cost is $7 for residents and $10 for nonresidents.

Holiday appetizers course set

Momma K will teach participants to make water chestnuts wrapped in bacon, southwestern tortilla roll-ups and a Reese’s Pieces cheeseball from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Lathrem Senior Center, 2900 Glengarry Drive.

Participants should bring containers to take leftovers home.

The cost is $30 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.

Self defense class begins Nov. 7

Rape, Aggression, Defense Systems, a basic self defense course for females, will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, from Nov. 7 to Nov. 28.

The first class will be held at the Kettering Police Department, 3600 Shroyer Road. The last three classes will be held in Barnes Gym, 3750 Far Hills Ave.

This is for those 14 years and older, and children ages 11 to 13 can attend with an adult.

The cost is $25 and $10 for each additional family member.

Enjoy the Build talk slated Nov. 9

Enjoy the Build — A Guide to a Custom Home or Renovation Project will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at Wright Memorial Public Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave.

Isaac Buehler, a project manager at Springhouse Architects, will explain how an architect can help guide the complicated process of renovation or building a custom home.

Babe, the Sheep Pig runs Nov. 3-5

A.C.T. Showcase Production presents Babe, the Sheep Pig, which will be held Nov. 3 through Nov. 5.

Babe, a little pig, arrives at Hogget’s Farm and discovers a talent for sheep herding.

The production will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, 27 N. Main St., and is geared toward children ages four and older.

The show is approximately 60 minutes.
