Trunk or Treat Oct. 24

On Oct. 24 from 6-8 p.m. come out for this year’s Xenia Community Trunk or Treat Event in the parking lot of Shawnee Elementary School, 92 E. Ankeney Mill Road. Trunk or Treat is sponsored by Xenia Community Schools, The City of Xenia and Greene Memorial Hospital.

Systems administrator needed

The City of Xenia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Systems Administrator. The successful applicant will be responsible for purchasing, installing, supporting and maintaining user workstations, server hardware and software infrastructure; software applications development; networked and stand-alone printers.

BEAVERCREEK

Service department positions available

The City of Beavercreek is seeking two qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Superintendent in the Public Administrative Services Department. The Assistant Superintendent positions are responsible for the performance of a variety of tasks that may include, but is not limited to skilled maintenance of city roadways, parks, facilities, fleet, cemeteries, storm water system, and traffic system under the general direction of the Public Administrative Services Superintendent. For additional requirements, see the job description. Compensation is $63,615 to $75,491 annually.

Spooktacular Parade Oct. 20

On Oct. 20, beginning at 7:30 p.m., join the City of Fairborn for their annual Spooktacular parade and Costume Contest.

The parade proceeds from Fairborn YMCA down Central to Main St. and ends in front of the downtown festival stage.

GREENE COUNTY

Caesars Ford seats can be reclaimed

Families, individuals or businesses who sponsored a seat within the Greene County Parks and Trails’ (GCP&T) Caesars Ford Park, 210 Stringtown Rd., Xenia, amphitheater may reclaim their seat by completing a form available from the park agency. The former amphitheater of Blue Jacket will be removed to begin the renovation of the park. The sponsored seats have been removed from the amphitheater and are being stored for those who qualify to reclaim them. The sponsored seats have small plaques on them with the name of the individual, family, organization or business.
