Burnout leads to smoke, fire call in Dayton

Tires were smoking inside a commercial building tonight, but there was no acutal fire.

Dayton firefighters were called at 10:07 p.m. to a report of smoke coming from the building in the 1200 block of Falke Drive. Firefighters reported seeing smoke when they arrived, however, they quickly discovered there was no fire, just burnout.

The smoke was caused by some teenagers inside the building keeping the vehicle stationary and spinning the wheels, causing the tires to smoke due to friction.

Fire personnel on scene told News Center 7 that the next time they are called to the building for a burnout, they will call in the police.
