Officers pulled over the vehicle Wallace was driving Nov. 30 after they said the license plate on the vehicle was expired, according to the incident report.

The 17-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle and an off-duty officer, who was riding along with the Butler Twp. officer,  said he saw the 17-year-old with a gun after he stepped out of the car, according to the police report.

“That guy has got a gun,” the off-duty officer said, according to the report.
