UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.

A bicyclist in Oxford who suffered a medical issue was alert enough today to tell his name to staff at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Oxford police posted on its Facebook page.

Oxford police are asking for the public’s help to identify a bicyclist in medical distress and unconscious when he left for the hospital.

Medics were dispatched around 11 a.m. for the bicyclist at the intersection of Sycamore Street and Tallawanda Road. He was taken to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital and transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Police and hospital staff do not know the man’s identity because he had no identification or property, other than Toyota car keys, according to the police Facebook page.

He is described as a white man of medium build, between 35 and 45 with brown hair and scruffy beard with some gray hairs. He was wearing a blue shirt that read “Ben Hogan” with a clenched fist image; jeans; a Dickies’ ball cap; and nylon strap sandals. His bike is gray with red writing.

Anyone with information is urged to call Oxford police at 513-524-5240 or McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, 513-523-2111.
