UPDATE @ 11:19 p.m. (11/25): New Germany Trebein Road in Beavercreek will remain closed from Beaver Valley to Trebein roads well into Tuesday morning because of the accident that brought down power lines and damaged a power pole, a sheriff's deputy said.

A Greene County Sheriff's deputy said the female driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Meantime, New Germany Trebein Road remains closed from Beaver Valley to Trebein roads because of the accident reported just after 10 p.m., which brought down several power lines and caused the pole to catch fire.

When deputies and a medic unit arrived, the driver was out of the vehicle.

According to the DP&L online outage map, an estimated 2,656 customers were without power at 11 p.m. because of the accident. DP&L crews are on the way or on scene, working to restore electric service.

"We do have to replace the pole," DP&L Operations Director Kelly Millhouse said.

Most customers will have power restored within 90 minutes to two hours, she said. About 75 customers will remain without service until the pole is replaced.

We will update this developing report as we learn more.
