The new 800-square-foot shop seats 16.
Here’s a look inside the shop and at its menu:
“We had been looking for space for a couple of years,” Lees said. The couple had negotiated a tentative lease with the owner of a fireplace and hearth store shortly before that owner sold the building to the founders of Old Scratch Pizza, and the couple was able to reach an agreement with pizza shop co-owner Eric Soller.
“This is our baby,” Hatmaker said of the new shop. “This is what we’re passionate about. It’s our lifestyle.”

The fruits, vegetables and other ingredients that go into Power Plant’s juices and other dishes are organic or local, and most often, they’re both, Hatmaker said.
“We support local organic farms every way we can,” Lees said.
Juice blends include the Green Supreme, with kale, spinach, celery, parsely, lemon and ginger; the BRain Mender, with beet, carrot, celery, cucumber and lemon; and The Classic, made of carrot, apple, lemon and ginger.

The menu also includes Avocado Toast, consisting of nine-grain bread, avocado, micro-greens, radish, olive oil, smoked paprika and black salt; White Bean Kale Soup; Banana Bread and Moroccan Carrots Rice Bowl, made of brown rice, harissa carrots, radish, peas, pistachios, mint, micro-greens and a maple drizzle.
Hatmaker and Lees lived in Austin, Texas, for a couple of years, but returned to their hometown in December 2011, shortly before their oldest child was born. They now have three children, ages 7, 6 and 18 months.

The couple also owns Adventure Golf on State Route 725 a couple of blocks west of their new juice bar, and Method Yoga in downtown Springboro.
The juice bar’s hours currently are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sundays, although those hours may expand after the first of the year, Lees said. The shop also will add delivery in early 2020, the couple said.
