City offers trees, planting to residents

The trees are about 1 ½ to 2 inches in diameter or 8 to 10 feet tall, depending on the variety.

Parks staff members will plant the trees in residents’ front yards only in late fall or early winter.

To purchase a tree, visit the Civic Center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

West Carrollton was recently recognized for its 21st year of participation in the Tree City USA program. By maintaining the Tree City USA program, the city recognizes the impact that trees have on communities by filtering the air, reducing heat to homes and buildings, providing a habitat for wildlife and increasing property values.
