City seeking bids on PipeStone management

A new management company for PipeStone Golf Club is being sought by the city.

The Miamisburg City Council has authorized City Manager Keith Johnson to advertise for proposals of companies interested in managing the city-owned course, which has a $1.2 million annual budget.

KemperSports, an Illinois-based firm, has the city’s current contract. It expires Dec. 31 and there are no extensions available, according to the city.

PipeStone, which opened in 1992 on Benner Road, is one of two golf courses the city owns. The other is the Mound Golf Course, a 9-hole course on Mound Avenue. It opened in 1938. NICK BLIZZARD
