Cloudy and cool today; Showers likely in afternoon

After a cloudy start to the day, showers are likely this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. The rain will then continue on into tonight, mostly before midnight, before tapering off.

Highs will be near 50 degrees today, falling slightly to around 44 degrees overnight.

Tomorrow, it will still be cloudy, but calmer with a high near 58 degrees. Overnight it will stay cloudy with a low near 46 degrees.

Those clouds are forecast to break by Saturday, for mostly sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees. However, the clouds will begin to build back up Saturday night, as temperatures fall to around 56 degrees.
