Dayton dove into the deep freeze at 9:30 p.m. Saturday and wasn’t forecasted to climb above 32 degrees until Wednesday afternoon.
The Miami Valley has spent more than 80 hours subfreezing and when it finally warms up it will end up being a more than 90-hour stretch.
“Don’t get too excited though. You’ll have to ditch your hats and gloves at the end of the week for an umbrella as rain returns very Thursday night,” Zontini said.
