Company sues now-closed Medical Center at Elizabeth Place

A medical equipment maintenance and repair company has sued the now-closed Medical Center at Elizabeth Place alleging unpaid bills.

In a complaint in federal district court, Minneapolis-based Agiliti Health Inc. claims the Dayton medical center owes it more than $105,000 for maintenance and repair services done for imaging equipment at the hospital.

Agiliti says a company it acquired had a contract with the medical center for nearly $16,700 worth of services every month, but payment has not been made since August.

The 12-bed medical center closed on Friday, citing financial problems, and about 60 people lost their jobs.

The medical center had a significant presence in the former St. Elizabeth’s hospital, which closed two decades ago, but other tenants remain in the facility, including a variety of medical providers.
