Complaint about noise from dirt bike turns into near standoff in Dayton

Police take accused noisy dirt bike rider into custody from house in Dayton 

A man who was arrested Monday night for an incident on North Delmar is currently listed on the Montgomery County Jail Website.

Christopher James Finfrock is charged with receiving stopen property, obstructing officials business and failure to comply. He is scheduled to appear in court at 1:45 this afternoon.  

UPDATE @ 10:30 p.m.: Police used a battering ram to force their way into the house on North Delmar Avenue and took the man into custody. 

The man resisted arrest and officers forcibly took him from the house to a police cruiser about 10:25 p.m.


An attempted traffic stop involving a man accused of causing a disturbance with a dirt bike has turned into a near standoff Dayton, with police surrounding a house because he is refusing to come out.

Police have a battering ram at the ready to use to force their way into the house on North Delmar Avenue near the Washington Playground. 

The incident began about 7:30 p.m. with a complaint to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch about a dirt bike racing up and down North Delmar Avenue. 

When police arrived and tried to conduct a traffic stop, the man refused to stop but then went in the house. 

At 9:30 p.m., police are continuing to try and coax him out. 

There have been no report of injuries. 

A Dayton police sergeant said police plan to pursue charges of fleeing and eluding stemming from the incident.
